ABOUT US

Titirangi Osteopathic Clinic is an established practice, with three full time working osteopaths. As a team we insist on providing a thorough, effective and a quality service to our patients.

Osteopathy is an established recognised system of diagnosis and treatment that lay’s its main emphasis on the structural integrity of the body. 

It is distinctive in the fact that it recognises that much of the pain and disability we suffer from stems from abnormalities in the function of the body structure as well as damage caused to it by disease. 

Osteopathy uses many of the diagnostic procedures used in conventional medical assessment and diagnosis. Its main strength however, lies in the unique way the patient is assessed from a mechanical, functional and postural standpoint, and the manual methods of treatment applied to suit the needs of the individual patient.

Osteopathy is a holistic alternative therapy; therefore the treatments given are different for everyone. Treatments include soft tissue work, gentle rhythmic movements, stretching, articulatory and manipulative techniques. We also provide advice with regards to posture and exercise with recommendations on how to minimise the likelihood of recurrence.​
